Christina L Nicholas, Ph.D.

Dr. Nicholas is an Associate Professor in the UIC Department of Orthodontics, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Anthropology (https://anth.uic.edu/profiles/nicholas-christina/). In addition to running the Nicholas Lab, she is the Director of Graduate Studies for the MS and PhD programs in Oral Sciences. She trained as a paleoanthropologist focusing on genus Homo and is still very excited about evo-devo topics. She completed a postdoc at the Iowa Institute for Oral Health Research (2015-16), where she became interested in orthodontics research. She is currently the Treasurer of the Dental Anthropology Association (https://www.dentalanthropology.org/).
